Cape Town Artists Mystical Collection

Cape Town Artists Mystical Collection

It’s a great time for introspection, which is why I’ve decided to embark on a new direction with regards to the look and feel of my website! We’ve also added a blog page so I can share news of upcoming exhibitions, share information about my latest mystical collection, commissions and insight into topics related to art. Currently I am working on three paintings.

Churchhaven, Langebaan Lagoon

I recently visited the gorgeous West Coast National Park and felt inspired to do this painting. Churchhaven could be any cove in Greece yet it’s right on our doorstep, just 100km from Cape Town. This is for my own collection and will be on display at the Kirstenbosch Gardens Art Portfolio exhibition later this month.

Baboon Point Mountain, Elands Bay

This is a commission for a client who spends much time in Elands Bay with his family. The painting is of Baboon Point Mountain overlooking the old crayfish factory and popular surfing spot.

Mystical Collection (Tree of Life)

‘Tree of Life’ is a utopian landscape forming part of a mystical collection destined for a solo exhibition later in the year to present a new category of paintings entitled ‘Mystical’. The inspiration for ‘Tree of Life’ comes from my love of trees, which is a life source for all existence. The Tree of Life itself as motif alludes to the interconnection of all life on our planet and serves as a metaphor for common descent in the evolutionary sense. I wanted to capture the sacred tree in an enchanted environment and achieved this by applying different techniques and palette colours.
